“ The Zippers“.

Covering the United States and internationally to Europe and Central America; they have opened for top name acts such as Earth Wind and Fire, Chicago, The Beach Boys, Tony Bennett, Kenny Loggins, REO Speedwagon, Aaron Neville, Peter Cetera, Kid Rock, Duran Duran, Joe Cocker and many others!
The Zippers have also perfomed for many high society weddings including Barry Williams (Greg Brady/ The Brady Bunch) in New York and Tony Romo ( Quarterback/ Dallas cowboys) in Dallas!
As a solo performer Steve plays it all again from the roaring 20's on up to new dance music and everything in between…playing trombone, guitar keybords, harmonica and belting out Sinatra,James Brown, Prince, Buble’, John Mayor , James Taylor, Coldplay, Ed Sheeran, Bruno Mars and so many more! From Jazz to swing, Motown to Classic Rock, Country and new dance music ... he covers it all and knows how to entertain!
Steve is also a talented songwriter and has had many songs placed in movies like "Lassie" and on TV such as the prime time show “Sister’s” with Sela Ward.
From the time he was a little boy music was playing inside his head. People noticed that he was always humming which earned him the nickname of Hummer.
Starting with trombone in the 4th grade, his own dixieland band in 8th, Symphonic, Stage and Marching band in High school where he was elected "Most Outstanding in band!"
On to night club bands in So-Cal and playing with Rosie and the Originals
(Angel Baby) and backing up Bobby Gentry( Ode to Billy Joe) with his band called S.O.U.P. at the Sahara in Vegas!
He studied music at Chaffey College and vocals with many teachers including Roger Love and Elizabeth Sabine.
His ultimate goal is to inspire kids to love music and learn to play instruments. In progress are a series of Children's books called " I Can Play" introducing each instrument and a fun filled school program that he is writing in hopes of accomplishing this dream.
